I joined EDSA in the middle of 2008 and have never looked back. I love the people aspect, getting to meet the donors and learning about their lives, meeting the recipients and hearing their stories which often end happily, forming relationships with doctors and other healthcare professionals and sharing with anyone else who is interested in this interesting process! And of course, the feel-good factor in helping others in often desperate times, is second-to-none.

I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd end up doing something like this, but having coming from a healthcare background, I suppose there is a very definitive connection.

I returned to Cape Town after 14 years in the UK, where most of my professional career was spent in the Human Resources Management and Recruitment field, working for the National Health Service (NHS) , one of the biggest single employer's in the world. Again, it was the people interaction and nurturing aspects of that role that I loved.

I am absolutely passionate about "my" donors, am very hands-on in the managements of their cycles. I active involve myself in all aspects of the donor's time with EDSA - from recruitment, to support, to coffee dates and late-night chats! I think THIS is what makes EDSA unique in the donation industry.
