Payment & Finance

Payment
Once you have decided on egg donation, then a donor needs to be sent to the clinic of your choice, Egg Donation South Africa requires a once off upfront payment before the donor is sent to the clinic. This upfront payment is needed for the rights to use a donor who has been recruited by Egg Donation South Africa, it does not cover any treatment that you receive, payment for treatment is to be paid to the clinic, who will give you a quotation and then after treatment an invoice will be sent for payment.
Patients who reside on the African continent can negotiate a discount on the once off payment to Egg Donation South Africa.
When Egg Donation South Africa has received the payment, we will then send the chosen donor to the clinic you choose to have your procedure. The donor will undergo tests for suitability and medical fitness; she will also be required to undergo a psychological assessment.
If it is found after evaluation and psychological assessment that the donor is unsuitable, although it is very unlikely to happen, Egg Donation South Africa will replace the unsuitable donor with one that is acceptable, this will be at no extra charge to you.

Finance
Most medical aids do not cover fertility treatment; you need to check with your medical aid to find out what the situation is. Fertility treatment is quite expensive and most people are not able to fund it without help. Should you need finance for your fertility treatment Egg Donation South Africa has partnered with FHF a financial organisation who specialises in financing medical procedures.
Please contact us about your financial arrangements and if you need us to help with the financial aspects we will be happy to help you in any way we can.
