I met my husband when we were students at University. We have been married for 44 years and have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren. My first inspirational book was given to me by my sister when I was 16, which sparked a yearning to go into a deeper world, which has become my passion. There is so much to discover, experience and learn about life that for me it is on ongoing journey. In my understanding, it is through following a path of self-study; finding balance; healing ourselves physically, emotionally, mentally, and aligning with our Higher Selves/the Divine/Spirit……that will have a ripple effect in our environment, relationships, our lives... I became an astrologer; a yoga teacher; a holistic life coach; did a BA Metaphysics course; went on many retreats; facilitating personal and group growth and healing sessions.
I am a graduate of the University of Cape Town (BA, STC) and a professional graphologist with international qualifications including IGAS, the International Graphoanalysis Society of Chicago and studies in European systems of graphology. My personality assessments are used by headhunters, recruitment companies and human resource professionals for employment selection. I have written eight books on handwriting and graphology which are used as guides for students around the world as well as numerous articles for journals and leading websites. My 35 years of experience as a handwriting analyst and depth of knowledge have earned me a reputation as a mentor to graphology students internationally. My graphology books and courses are available on my website Graphology World.
During her time in Geneva, Switzerland, Ishana discovered a phenomenal Swiss holistic wellbeing method called, Sophrology. She was fascinated by its history, and successful practice in Switzerland, France, Spain and the UK over the last 56 years. One of the highest demands for Sophrology in Europe, was Maternity. Drawing from her personal stresses of corporate life, she was convinced that Sophrology could bring immense value to the modern working family. Her fulfillment is to watch the positive transformational process of people’s body, mind, spirit, emotions and soul. As a Practitioner, her ultimate passion is to help and support people in their journey of optimal health and wellbeing. Sophrology is a series of simple/highly effective dynamic relaxation methods, visualization, bits of meditation, breathing and mindful journeys which can be done in sitting, standing positions or lying on the bed. It harmonizes/stimulates all cells, organs, muscles, glands and systems of the body. These dynamic relaxation techniques will enable you to embrace the experience of fertility, pregnancy, birth and parenthood. Sophrology helps to prepare your body for pregnancy, release stress/tension/anxiety, cope and handle challenges more efficiently, be confident and overcome “fears”, feel happy and motivated, stay calm and relaxed towards a positive delivery, have a better connection with your baby in the womb and after childbirth, speed up recovery after birth and improves your quality of sleep. Consultations can be done online or face-to-face with individuals/couples or groups.
